Hi there hope your starting to get back to a bit more normality. I know only too well what you are going through and have been through. I had my 13th birthday in hospital 3 days after having a partial laminectomy, it was agony given that was 23 years ago and i still cannot forget it completely and believe me i never will. I dont really know what happened i was doing gymnastics 4 days a week quite competitively and think i was just pushed too far. I am fine now but not anywhere near how fit i was prior to the injury. i.ve had a couple of problems over the years however the chiropracta puts me right eventually. Just have to be careful last time my back went was pulling the handbrake on my car leaning over with both hands to yank it up as on a hill, next day disaster crawling on my hands and knees. So all the very best with your recovery it does take time so try and be patient easier said than done i know it is very frustrating and a long road but you,ll get there. Take care ok Jane x

I hate to hear how bad it was for you!! The actual procedure wasn't terrible for me, but I got the spinal migraine which was hell!! I had to have a blood patch to get rid of that. My whole body shook uncontrollably once IV was in and I cried the whole time they were doing the blood patch. I agree to really think this through before doing it. They try to say very few people have a bad time, but I have been told by physician friends, that this is not true. Many more than they say actually get the migraine or other problems. I am not sure anyone could convince me to have another one!!

Lorilily, what was yours for? What area of spine? I have been wondering if different areas cause different reactions? Do you have the migraine? Have they given you and pain or anxiety meds?

Glad to hear yall didn't find the procedure too painful, for me, it was a nighmare and the most pain i had been in all of my life. My whole back was tied up in a "cramp" as was my buttocks, then when you think hell can't get any worse, it feels like you are wetting your pants both downwards and upwards. i was screaming for them to stop, but they kept saying just one more picture. i was so traumatized after the myelogram, i literally couldn't speak, only stutter and cry profusely. get the facts before you undergo this procedure. it has been three days and i'm still traumatized and cry at the drop of a pin for no reason other than reliving the procedure

I sincerely hope yours goes better than mine!!! Be sure to follow that bed rest strictly. I would love to hear how it goes after the fact. Now I'm curious to find out what other's instructions are, etc. The procedure itself wasn't bad. It was the rest of the week! Mine was for lumbar spine. Where's yours? Wonder if that makes any difference?

Thank you for your response! I didn't even think of the memories angle, but now that I have, you're right. The memories from those "now" moments are more intense.

I am the same way when it comes to Time. I constantly worry about everything that needs to get done. When I make a conscious decision to "enjoy the moment" time seems to stop still. I love the memories created.

Great post!

The Clearing you're talking about is probably what I'm doing.

On the writing editing, what I'm finding is that it's making me get to the essence of what I really need to say. And it's a safe way to "let go." If I can let go of a few words that I really loved initially, but they just don't work with the flow of the writing, maybe I can build safe experience around letting go.

I would LOVE to talk to you about this dance with Time that you describe. Time management is one of my specialties, but it's really a misnomer. It's interesting that Blondewolf mentions choice. I've found that whatever relationship we think we have with Time, is really a relationship with Choice.

Anyway, I don't want to get into a big Spiel. But what you describe is an issue close to my heart and if you want to talk about it with me, just let me know. :)

Peace & Passion,
Curtis
